I am writing to provide you with an important update regarding WMI’s fees and charges for the 2026/27 financial year (see attached 2026/27 Schedule of Charges).
The WMI Board is very aware of the ongoing challenges facing many of our customers, including difficult conditions in the wine grape industry and the impacts of the record rainfall event experienced earlier this year. In recognition of these circumstances, the Board has sought to keep fee increases to a minimum wherever possible.
To support our customers:
- No increase has been applied to the Account Fee, Meter Service Fee or Asset Replacement Fund Fee
- All WMI administration fees remain unchanged
- Delivery Entitlement Fees have increases by between 3.7% and 4.7%
- Electricity Usage Fees have increased by only 2.5%, following the successful negotiation of a new electricity supply contract.
A reminder that all WMI fixed charges are billed evenly across the four quarterly invoices. Statements will only be issued where there is an outstanding balance or where additional transactions have occurred, such as water or delivery trade.
Government charges are separate to WMI charges and are passed though directly to customers. The NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) has recently completed its review of these charges, resulting in increases to both fixed and variable government charges. WMI continues to apply the available government rebate to reduce the impact on customers wherever possible.
Should you have any questions, require further information or simply have some feedback, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely

Judith Damiani
