Western Murray Irrigation Welcomes New Executive Manager Operations

Western Murray Irrigation (WMI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Terry Gebert as Executive Manager Operations.

Terry will commence with WMI on 10 August 2026, bringing extensive experience in engineering, water infrastructure and project leadership.

Terry joins WMI from GHD in Mildura, where he is Senior Civil Engineer. Most recently he led the optioneering and design of 26km of irrigation channel remediation and pipeline replacement, including the upgrade of small outlets with modern flow meters across the Sunraysia region.

He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Environmental Management.

He will work alongside David Hilton, the current Executive Manager Operations, ensuring continuity and a smooth handover ahead of David’s retirement at the end of October.

WMI also acknowledges the significant contribution of the outgoing Executive Manager Operations and extends its appreciation for his dedicated service to the organisation.

Terry said he is looking forward to joining WMI and contributing to its ongoing success.

“I am pleased to be joining Western Murray Irrigation and look forward to working with the team and engaging with customers across the district,” Terry said.
