High Velocity Water Main Scouring Scheduled Across Coomealla 

Tuesday 22 Sept through to Thursday 24 Sept  

Customers are advised that high velocity water main scouring will be undertaken across Coomealla over the next three days as part of essential maintenance to prepare the network for the upcoming irrigation season. 

As irrigation demand begins to increase, the operations team will be carrying out high velocity scouring throughout Coomealla to help maintain water quality. 

Due to the quality of water currently being extracted from the river, combined with lower water flows experienced throughout winter, this maintenance is considered essential as the irrigation system begins. 

During the scouring program, customers may experience significant changes in water pressure.  

The focus areas for each day between 8.00am and 4.00pm are outlined on the accompanying map:

• Tuesday: Blue area 

• Wednesday: Red area 

• Thursday: Green area 

Customers within these areas are most likely to experience the highest levels of pressure fluctuations but the entire system will be affected while works are being undertaken.
